JarvisClassroom communication system
Jarvis is a working, classroom-tested R&D communication and accessibility system. The Loopy/Jarvis control architecture itself works: complete classroom control can be operated by voice, without keyboard interaction, and it supports live subtitles/captions and translation on classroom displays.
- Push-to-talk on handheld communication hardware, plus sound-threshold logic, establishes reliable start/stop conversational boundaries without keyboard interaction.
- Classroom content can be uploaded and prepared before a lesson, then accessed through Jarvis options during class.
- Selectable large-format text supports visibility and readability at distance.
- Teacher and facilitator control, with clear turn-taking, are central to the design.
- The C.H.A.L.K. privacy philosophy means no student/class data is retained between classes: no recordings, no logs, and no unnecessary stored student data.
The limiting factor is not Jarvis itself. It depends on mainstream speech-to-text and translation technology for the hardest underlying language-processing problems; building those capabilities independently to the standard required would demand budgets more typical of a major software company. Jarvis is therefore held at a working, classroom-tested R&D stage while mainstream, affordable STT and translation continue to improve, with the intention of using those mature capabilities as they become good enough and affordable enough.

Status
